"ALONE IN IZ WORLD"
featuring
Israel Kamakawiwoole on vocals, ukulele and Mel Amina and Barry Flanagan on guitars. While Israel Kamakawiwo'ole the Hawaiian singer better known simply as "IZ" first came to public attention as a member of the popular Hawaiian group known as "The Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau", it was his solo career which brought him into national noteriety. Those who mourned his passing in 1997 and countless others who know little about the Hawaiian native will be inspired by the depth of range on the "Alone in IZ World" album. A composition gathered from various recording session out-takes, this CD touches the heart and caresses the soul with IZ's sweet tenor voice. His vocal renderings are accompanied by his now famous solo ukelele performances including the now famous "Somewhere Over the Rainbow / What a Wonderful World" featured in the movies; "Meet Joe Black", "Finding Forrester", and on TV in the popular series "ER" and the E-Toys commercial. Relax and celebrate with the sweet sounds of "Alone in Iz World" with us. This is an Enhanced CD, which includes a photo gallery, a bio, national and local press coverage, a career history of his incredible accomplishments, a catalog of his albums and a screen saver. It contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files including a untitled hidden track following the song "In Dis Life."
