As this year comes to a close, we reflect on the importance of family, friends and those who have touched our lives the most meaningfully in this past year. Those precious souls who we touched or have touched us in some special way and made a meaningful difference in the way we view and live our lives. Each day we all have opportunities to embrace courage in the face of adversity. We live and learn to solve problems and create healing environments and hopefully relieve suffering wherever it is found. That is our gift to ourselves and others...
It's no secret to anyone that knows me that the Christmas Season is my very favorite time of year. I have found at times during this season that it's really quite easy to lose sight of the true meaning and value of Christmas. While preparing for Christmas parties, going to shopping malls and checking our naughty and nice lists I find myself needing to remind myself that this holiday is about more than parties, gift giving or even Santa. It's about the spirit of love, hope and the birthday of a child, whose life and story began on a cold Winter's night some two thousand years ago. The message of Love and Compassion of that child's life I find even more compelling each year as we continue to seek "Peace on Earth" and "Good Will towards all persons throughout the World..." While some may look for Santa and his sleigh on Christmas Eve I find myself searching for that same bright star which guided wise men so many years ago...
I hope this special heartfelt presentation will help to better illuminate the "Reason for the Season" and brighten your hoidays this Christmas and coming New Year...
And may we not forget yet always remember,
To keep our hearts open with Kindness,
from next January through December...
